Elizabeth started with the Prince William Sound Science Center in May of 2016. As administrative assistant, she works closely with Katrina Hoffman, Scott Pegau and the financial team on both PWSSC and Oil Spill Recovery Institute matters. She also hopes to dabble in some of the amazing field research happening at the Science Center. Elizabeth was raised in Massachusetts and moved to Alaska from Rhode Island, where she completed a B.S. in Marine Affairs with a minor in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Rhode Island. She spent the Summer of 2013 researching non-native/invasive fish management in Lake Tahoe, through the University of Nevada, Reno. Before coming to Cordova she was sailing professionally and had just completed an internship with Sailors for the Sea, an international non-profit organization in Newport, RI that engages, educates, and activates the sailing and boating community toward ocean health.
