We maintain three weather stations in Prince William Sound and the wider Gulf of Alaska region for the PWS Regional Citizens' Advisory Council. These stations collect essential data about local conditions, including wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, and barometric pressure. This data is transmitted wirelessly, providing researchers with crucial context for the state of our local environment — and providing mariners with the near-real time information they need to navigate our waters safely.
