Our 2016 Photo Contest Is Here
We’re excited to announce that today kickstarts our 2016 Photo Contest, which will run from August 1st-31st!
The Prince William Sound Science Center is committed to understanding how one place on earth can maintain a reliable economy and natural environment for the long-term. We live and work in one of the last, best places, home of the world’s richest waters and we’d like to see it through your eyes. For our 2016 Photo Contest, we’d like to know, “what do you find intriguing, beautiful, or inspiring about our rich waters, lands, and cultures in this region?” How do you explore this place? How do you protect it? How do you engage with it? We challenge you to capture these moments and share them through our 2016 Photo Contest. Photos must be taken in Prince William Sound and the greater Copper River watershed region. Entries may be submitted to one of the following photo categories: (1) Rich Waters (2) Rich Lands (3) Rich Culture. See the event on our Facebook page for details and official rules.
Throughout the month of August, use the left-hand tab on our Facebook page to enter to win cash prizes (10 winners with prizes from $25-$250), have your photo featured on our 2016 gift card set, and share the beauty of this place with the community. Check back in during the first week of September to vote for the People’s Choice Award and join us at the Cordova Center on Sept. 9th for our Photo Contest Award Reception.
